The 88B2 series is a reverse balanced, single-acting pusher type mechanical seal, engineered to handle corrosive and general chemical applications with superior reliability. Its unique reverse balance capability ensures that process fluid does not mix with the barrier fluid, even in cases of significant pressure drops, making it an excellent choice for critical chemical processing environments.
To cater to a wide range of process conditions, the 88B2 is available with various seal face and elastomer material options. This ensures optimal compatibility with highly corrosive fluids, as all metal parts are isolated from direct media contact, preventing corrosion-related failures.
The seal is available in both component and cartridge configurations, offering installation flexibility. Additionally, it can be used as an internal seal in a double Back-to-Back arrangement, making it adaptable for more demanding sealing requirements.
