The 800HB2 series is a high-performance, single-acting balanced mechanical seal designed to meet the stringent requirements of Boiler Feed Water Pumps and other high-speed applications. Its rotating mating ring design makes it suitable for applications requiring exceptional speed stability while eliminating concerns about stuffing box face squareness.

This seal features strong positive drive and locking arrangements on both faces, ensuring a robust and sturdy construction for demanding operating conditions. A key innovation in the 800HB2 is its thermodynamic circulating grooves, which enhance sliding face cooling by reducing the coefficient of friction and protecting the seal from thermal overload.

The integrated pumping screws and fluid guiding channels work in combination to increase coolant flow, directing cold water between the seal ring and mating ring, effectively removing gas bubbles, dirt particles, and excess frictional heat.

To counteract the risk of dynamic distortion at high sliding velocities (over 25 m/s), the springs are positioned in the stationary part, ensuring consistent performance and extended service life. Under normal conditions, the 800HB2 can operate continuously for 20,000+ hours, with potential longevity reaching up to 79,000 hours in optimized conditions.
